HowTo: Enable Multifactor Authentication within CyberHoot on the Power Platform


Enabling Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) in CyberHoot

To protect admin accounts, CyberHoot strongly recommends enabling MFA for all administrator logins.

MFA Options Supported by CyberHoot:

  1. Authenticator Apps (Recommended)
    Use apps like Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator for the most secure MFA option.

  2. Email
    If no MFA method is chosen, codes are sent via email by default. This is safer than SMS but less secure than an authenticator app.

  3. SMS
    Supported but not recommended due to known vulnerabilities like SIM swapping. Use only if no other option is available.

How to Enable MFA on Your Admin Account:

  1. Log in for the first time – You’ll receive an MFA code via email (default).

  2. Click your name in the top-right corner of the dashboard and click on Account.

  3. Choose your preferred MFA method (App, Email, or SMS) and follow the setup steps.

That’s it! Your selected method will be used on future logins.
